Some beer cocktails take "hops" to a new extreme. If you're feeling adventurous, the hacienda de chapulines is a sweet beer cocktail garnished with some interesting insects.

  • 12 oz. Modelo Negra™
  • 2 oz. bayou spiced rum
  • ¼ oz. cinnamon syrup
  • ½ oz. grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz. lime • Egg white
  • Toasted crickets
  • Cricket powder

Hacienda de Chapulines

  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker, excluding Modelo Negra, crickets and cricket powder.
  2. Shake into a tall beer glass and strain over ice.
  3. Fill the remainder of the glass with beer.
  4. Serve the remaining Modelo Negra with the cocktail.
